The one I ordered has not shown up and I'm sick waiting.

Anyone got any cool tricks to drive em home?

PVC pipe I have is all too small. Forks are 41mm shows.

Alternativly, would anyone is Dublin have a driver you could lend me? I'll return in as I got it with a few beers

Just wondering if the rubber o rings from Lidl and Aldi are viton/petrol resistant?
They be handy for carbs and fuel connections if they were to that standard.
Might be handy to take on a biking holiday, for unforeseen repairs, just incase

» Looks like all streets will be limited to 30kph
Jun 03, 2020 - 12:23 PM - by sprockets
So it looks like all streets in Dublin will be limited to 30kph.

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/envi...oads-1.4268992

That's understandable on narrow side streets & residential streets, or during rush hour, but on main thoroughfares all the time. C'mon ???

Lycra louts will be flying past bikes/cars/vans/lorries/buses etc. No chance of them sticking to the 30kph speed limit.

The authorities are slipping all kinds of new laws in under the Covid-19 banner.
You can be sure all other cities (and maybe towns too) in Ireland will follow suit. Easy to catch speeders... [Read More]

» Engine Build Help - ZX6R C6F 06
Jun 02, 2020 - 3:09 PM - by shango
Hi all,

Just finished rebuilding my first engine (zx6r 06) everything is replaced and running somehow! On the second run however the crankcase has somehow lifted and is spilling (not dripping) oil everywhere.....

I torqued all bolts in the rebuild with calibrated torque wrenches as per manual tightening order and used well-seal for the case faces. The only thing I didn't do was replace the bolts, they were not marked as replaceable items. Maybe they stretched and bottomed out before pulling the cases together fully, but it all looked ok before install.

Anyways its lifted around the front sprocket driveshaft area, not sure if thats significant, maybe it... [Read More]

» Any Tuono Pro's?
Jun 01, 2020 - 2:25 PM - by BigDiggity
Hi lads,

I'm living down in France, looking at buying a Tuono 1000R for the mountain roads... the one I'm currently considering is up for 4,250. Also considering going for a Speed Triple 1050 in the same price range (06-10 model)

Here's the link. https://www.leboncoin.fr/motos/1785783836.htm/

Google should translate the page.

First of all I'm trying to figure out if it is definitely the R model?

Any advice on what to look for with this one?

Do you think its worth driving 5 hours each way to check out!?

There's a few chips and cosmetic bits here and there, and I reckon it's had a slide at some point, as... [Read More]

In the middle of moving house at the minute, unfortunately the new house doesnt have access to the rear so the bike will be stored out the front.

Looking for suggestions on what's best to store it in. Have seen a few different options but looking for first hand experience with them in terms of quality and dampness when the winter kicks in

Does anyone have a number for Stephane Doherty (SD Designs)?

Howye lads,

Long time no post. I hope you are all doing well.

Quick question, what is the most cost effective way of transporting a bike down to Montenegro? It is a bit of a quirky place as its just outside the EU but I can even collect the bike in Dubrovnik, Croatia for example.

Anyone with any help, advice or experience, it would be sound for a finger in the right direction.

Sound as a pound,

Hi all , with the shut down of work etc it has given me time to pull a few old classics out of hibernation and the first one I have given a bit of a spruce up to is the H1, it needed a new seat cover and a respray but I couldn't believe my luck last October at the Stafford show I found a tank side panel and oil tank ready for fitting all resprayed with graphics etc . They didn't come cheap but respraying my own and with graphics I thought buy these and sell my own. I have it almost finished bar a set of points the centre set of points are a bit iffy at times. Also to see another one here in a recent post its nice to see a few survivors fairly intact

So sad to hear of the passing of Billy on 5th April. Prior to competing in the sport myself, I always loved to see Billy racing whether it be at the TT (he was entered from 1960 to 1974 - some record !!) or at the Irish national meetings. He obviously held Dunboyne among his favourites - he frequently attended the Spirit Of Dunboyne revival events in recent years riding his beautiful Matchless G50. We will greatly miss him - a great Irish racer !

May 24, 2020 - 9:22 AM - by Christopher Livingstone Eubanks
Gestapo cunts everywhere now, they love to camp in speed changing zones such as 80 to 60 and are everywhere now solving the biggest problem the world has ever seen: speeding.

It takes the smallest twist of throttle in the lower gears to end up in court with a possible ban for "dangerous driving"

Fuck that life, I'd imagine the 90s and early 2000s were much better time. As the time goes on, there are more and more restrictions and control which the population is happy to oblige with as it "saves lives"

Everyone on the bike speeds and I guess it is not as bad as UK yet though where they spend massive amount of resources trying to catch someone doing 100mph+ from a video posted online but it is getting there.

Look at... [Read More]
